Summary:
Drape Kings, located in North Bergen, NJ is seeking an experienced Sales Manager who will play a key role in the company’s growth. We manufacture, sell and rent Event Drapery for the LIVE Event and Audio-Visual industries worldwide. We are also the exclusive distributor in North America for a new product called AV-Drop, a scenic modular back drop system that is setting the standard globally. We innovate new products and market to a wide array of customers and prospective clients.
Responsibilities:
- Create and manage key customer prospect list. Cultivate list of new business and set targets for achieving new customers with greatest potential for rental revenue, identifying new opportunities via trade shows, LinkedIn searches, association member lists, etc.
- Overlook and manage all AV Drop Sales and Rentals in US & Canada (excludes Chicago Metro area
- Overlook and manage Drape and all other company products (Sales and Rental-NY/NJ Metro, and all Sales in US and Canada)
- Become the Customer Contact “Ambassador” who builds relationships with new businesses
- Lead LinkedIn Search & Outreach Campaign
- Have working knowledge of all AV Drop features, benefits & applications, as well as a basic technical understanding to pass along to tech team when needed
- Must be able to conduct presentations for large groups in a professional manner
- Manage the entire quote process from inception to completion
- Troubleshoot and resolve any customer issues and escalates as needed
- Presents all Drape King products through one-on-one meetings, trade shows & demos. (Must have clear understanding of how products work, key features & benefits, our positioning vs. competitors to overcome potential barriers.)
- Works on product training tools and Sales Kit to send to customers for demonstrations
- Gather market intelligence and provide weekly updates on market intel.
- Attend trade shows / association events at managements direction to keep DK brand “top of mind” & foster industry relationships (MPI, SESMA, ILEA, NACE, InfoCOMM, LDI, Special Event, IAPPA, ARA.)
- Act as the company marketing liaison for promotions and sponsorships with management approval
- Coordinates with Marketing dept. on tools & tactics needed to drive business growth
- Attends major and or notable installations to take photographs and install where possible to create regional content for marketing activities.
- Manage the accuracy of the account information within regional office for CRM activities (Hatchbuck).
- Submit weekly summary of Call Reports / Weekly Plans to management each Friday outlining prior week activities, total customer touchpoints and future week plans for managing time (office days vs. travel to customers).
- Manage Sales staff to reach company department KPI's.
- Submit photos of installations to Marketing.
- Request Google reviews from top customers (One Google review per month.)
- Ability to analyze revenue reports run by accounting and provide monthly, quarterly and annual reviews of the business, trends and compensating for any business losses.
Qualifications:
- 5-10 years sales experience
- Live Event industry experience a Plus
- Bachelor’s Degree (4-year College)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient on CRM systems, MS PowerPoint & Excel
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities, sales team and workflow
