Position Summary:

The Cutter is responsible for executing complex cutting tasks and fabricating drapery constructions on a large scale. This role requires precision, strong sewing experience, and the ability to interpret technical documents while managing a heavy volume of projects.

Responsibilities:

• Perform complex cutting of materials for large-scale drapery constructions.
• Read and interpret floor plans, sketches, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution.
• Measure and mark materials accurately before cutting to meet project specifications.
• Create and modify patterns as needed to achieve desired designs.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Proven sewing experience required.
• Experience in drapery construction on a large scale preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including floor plans and sketches.
• Strong measuring and marking skills for precise cutting.
• Knowledge of pattern making and modification.
• Familiarity with machines such as straight stitch, overlock, blind hemmer, and grommet press.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasionally required to lift, push, or carry items up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
